EL2s of the Adamów lignite mine railway

My second visit to a lignite mine railway was on September 19 and 20, 2011. Together with Chris West we visited Adamów mine near Turek. In all they have thirteen EL2s, two of which have been modernized. It was a very fine trip and all people there were very friendly and helpful. Many thanks to all!

Inside the EL2-10. This locomotive has not been modernized and cab interior, apart from a few minor details, corresponds to the original variant as supplied from Germany. The hand in the lower right corner belongs to Chris.

Our ride aboard the EL2-10 has brought us to the railway depot. EL2-12 awaiting departure.

Inside the cab of EL2-8; this locomotive has been modified and fitted with electronic controller and air conditioning unit, much praised by crews.

EL2-6 is a second-hand locomotive, purchased from the Lübbenau power plant in Germany. Traces of old livery are still visible.
